Chris Alford, NRG Co-Founder, is often referred to as “Kentucky’s Mediator,” there hasn’t been a strike or major labor dispute in the last 10 years that Chris hasn’t been a part of resolving. Chris’s earnest approach with his clients was born out of a life of diverse experiences and his desire to help the people around him. This also led him to have one of the highest settlement success rates in all of FMCS.
Chris is tireless in his desire to help our clients. He is a true mediator, willing to trying anything to help our clients succeed.

Andrew Burcham is the co-founder of NRG, a conflict resolution and mediation firm built on the belief that understanding all sides is the first step to resolution. With a background that spans education, military service, and law, Andrew brings a unique and balanced perspective to every negotiation table.
Before launching his firm, Andrew was a high school teacher, earning a master’s degree in education. It was in the classroom that he honed his ability to connect with people from all walks of life—skills that would later become essential in mediation.
Andrew also served in the U.S. Army, where he learned the importance of discipline, adaptability, and clear communication under pressure. After his military service, he earned a law degree with a concentration in labor and employment law. As an attorney, he worked on hundreds of grievances and collective bargaining cases, developing deep expertise in navigating high-stakes, emotionally charged disputes.
Having worn many hats—soldier, teacher, lawyer—Andrew approaches conflict with a steady hand and an open mind. His diverse background allows him to serve as a truly neutral third party, committed to helping individuals and organizations find common ground and sustainable solutions.
